Phenelle Segal, RN, CIC, founder of Infection Control Consulting Services (ICCS), will be presenting at the 2017 Gulf States ASC Conference.
The meeting takes place June 21-23 at The Ritz-Carlton in New Orleans. It is sponsored by the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) associations from Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Phenelle will be presenting on "CMS Requirements for ASCs – Updated Surveyor's Worksheet" on June 22 at 10:45 a.m.
According to the conference brochure, her presentation description is as follows: "Infection prevention in the ASC setting continues to be a large area of focus for CMS and this session will discuss the changes made to the surveyor's worksheet in 2015. Each item listed on the worksheet will be addressed in detail and will include ongoing deficiencies noted during onsite visits."
